In the paper below, I explore the intersection between sustainability, habitability, physics and sensors for making cities more resilient. I focus on the topics of: reducing transportation congestion, preventing wildfires, and integrating renewable energy sources. This paper is about potential back-end solutions for re-imagining cities! Although data-driven solutions are not enough by themselves, they can be an incredible tool to support greater social, political and cultural solutions.
